Camera Toss

I’ve started a small project with a couple of new friends (the talented Tamara Erbacher and Farrah Allan), which gets us shooting every other day to a select theme. This rounds theme was “selflies”, and at 5 minutes before the midnight deadline after an enormous day this was the result. Well, I started at 5 minutes to midnight… after a while of looking like a bit of a twat trying to pull it off I landed a keeper.

I’m hoping medium-format film shooting becomes a major part of this very soon.

Check out the project here: Oli, Tamara & Farrah

Farrah Allan - Light amazingness.

7am in Fitzroy

This morning I harassed my good friends James & Anastacia in their typically Fitzroy home for a light test, as a pre-wedding shoot of sorts. I can’t wait to shoot & share the full set.

Tam - That last shot is breath taking…the light…you can feel the energy between them…stunning Oli. xx

Farrah - Gasp!
love that you are experimenting with these dark shadows – very inspiring.

A morning at Jills house

I’ve been lucky enough to meet a whole bunch of beautiful creative people over the last year or so, Jill being one such person.

I met Jill when she was working at Cafe Outpost (another shoot I also blog-posted earlier). She’s a stage actor, and one of the most upbeat people I’ve met in a long while. We did coffee one morning and snapped around her house, much of which is still awesomely stuck in a time warp.

I’m hoping to similarly shoot other interesting people living in interesting places, so drop me an email if you feel like a morning paparazzi session.

First overseas wedding

Mish & Oli just got back from NZ, after our first overseas wedding shoot. The place was teeming with Hobbit cast & crew the day prior. Here’s the grooms grandparents. Not sure if the footy was a Hobbit prop.

And some kind of portable on the way back from the main shoot.
